Family Concierge Services: 15 At-Home & On-Demand Options

Jul 29, 2025

Prefer to listen? Us too.

Concierge services offer personalized assistance with any area of your life where you feel overwhelmed and could use some extra help, whether that’s managing your household, running errands, booking appointments or travel arrangements, caring for your pet, shopping for gifts — pretty much anything you can think of. That’s why concierge services are essential for busy executive parents!

There are general concierge services companies that offer help in a bunch of these areas. But you often get the best service and experience when you hire a company that specializes in the area where you need help. Below are 15 of the best specialized concierge services so you can stop spending time on busywork and instead spend your time with your family, your partner, or recharging your own batteries.

Best Concierge Services: Medical Concierge

best medical concierge

A medical concierge service is a membership-based medical practice that gives you quicker access to doctors and more personalized care — it’s seriously one of the best concierge services for busy people! No more getting sick and trying to ignore it, so that you don't have to drive to and from the doctor (assuming you can even get an appointment), only to sit in the waiting room for an hour because they’re running behind. Medical concierge services offer on-demand support and same-day virtual or in-person appointments.

Free up more time for what matters most.

We vetted and recommend Concierge MD as our go-to medical concierge service, since they will come to your home, hotel, or office for primary and urgent care, in addition to offering virtual consultations. Some medical concierge services have their own facilities that you go to, but in my opinion, not driving is a huge plus. I also felt so much more relaxed being in my own home for the doctor's appointment  — I was even in my pjs!

On top of the time saved, I also really like the customized attention that you get with a medical concierge service since they see fewer patients overall. I felt like I was hiring someone to advocate for my health. They were super patient and didn’t make me feel rushed.

Investment Cost: $8,000/year for an annual Premium membership (or save $800 and pay $7,200 with Proxy. Plus, you'll receive 4 additional telemedicine visits each year as a Proxy subscriber.)

Best Concierge Services: House Manager/Family Assistant

concierge services

House managers are there to ensure the household runs smoothly and take care of the day-to-day tasks. They perform most tasks a concierge service company would do. The lines between a “family assistant” and “house manager” are becoming more blurred and are often used interchangeably, especially as many families look for hybrid positions that best fit their household.

In our household, our nannies’ roles are a combination of a nanny/family assistant/house manager. A large part of their responsibilities is still to support the kids, but they also perform errands and tasks that help the whole family thrive.

Some of the things a house manager can help with include:

  • coordinating with vendors for home repairs
  • keeping household basics stocked
  • small handyman tasks
  • helping with errands.

Best Concierge Services: Errand Runner

errand runner concierge services

An errand runner is a great concierge service for anyone who dreads running around town doing a million different errands, whether that’s grocery shopping, dropping off dry cleaning, going to the bank, or returning a package. Pretty much anything you would need to drive in your car to do, an errand runner can handle for you.

And errand runners can also help with more than just errands. For example, we vetted one errand runner service that will also assist with computer-related tasks remotely, like booking appointments or researching summer camp options for the kids. Several other Proxy-approved errand concierge services will also assist with tasks around the house, like tidying up a room, snack prep, emptying a dishwasher, or doing a few loads of laundry (and putting the clothes away!).

Investment Cost: Starting at $36/hr ($33/hr with Proxy) with a 3-hour minimum

Time Reclaimed: 3.5 hours per 3-hour block reserved*

*This includes the physical 3 hours of time saved by not doing the errands yourself, as well as the mental time saved by not having to dread doing the low-joy task or feeling overwhelmed, and drained of energy trying to manage and schedule it all.

Best Concierge Services: Driver

concierge services

A driver is one of the best concierge services for anyone who spends a lot of time in the car. With a driver focused on the road, you can spend your time in the car however you want — catching up on work emails, making a phone call, reading, taking a nap — the choice is yours. Regardless, buying back that hour or so of commute time every day will help you show up at home more refreshed and ready to be fully present with your family.

Beyond the time saved by not driving, you no longer have to worry about budgeting extra time to find parking, not to mention the mental load and stress of dealing with aggressive drivers, traffic, or detours due to construction. Plus, having a driving concierge service will save you gas money and keep your own car in more pristine condition, since you won’t be overusing it during the week.

Less time managing life. More time living it.

Get practical delegation tips, trusted reviews, and smart shortcuts in your inbox every week.

Uber is one great way to outsource driving. Make sure to reserve a black car, select "quiet” as your preference, and then use that time to listen to an audiobook, podcast, or catch up with a friend.

But there are some additional benefits that come with using a private driver. Oftentimes, driver concierge services will have cars that are equipped for getting work done with WiFi or folding work tables. And if you commit to a regular service, then you’ll have the same driver who can become a trusted member of your support team and can also help out with your kids’ school drop-offs.

Investment Cost: Starting at $50/hr for a standard sedan

Time Reclaimed: 1.5 hours per hour booked

*This includes the physical hour you save by not driving, as well as the mental time saved by not having to figure out parking or stress about traffic

Best Concierge Services: Flower Delivery

concierge services

This is one of my personal favorite concierge services. I absolutely adore having fresh flowers around the house. We set up a bi-monthly delivery service with our local flower shop, Little House of Flowers, so that every two weeks we get fresh flowers in vases that match our aesthetic. Unlike a 1-800 flower delivery service, we don’t have to unpack flowers from a box, cut the stems, and clean up the mess.

Every other Friday, our nanny/family assistant empties the old flowers into the trash, cleans out the vase, and leaves it on our front doorstep. Since it’s a recurring service, the flower shop drives to our home on these pre-arranged days to pick up the vases and returns that same day with fresh flowers that they leave on our doorstep. There’s no extra coordination required, no doorbells to ring, just beautiful arrangements to bring inside to their designated spots in the house.

"Proxy has very quickly paid for itself in both money and time, helping me to outsource low-joy tasks."

Homeschool Mom of 3

Through Proxy, we vetted a flower delivery service that has relationships with the best flower shops nationwide, making it super easy for you to set up a flower delivery concierge service without spending time researching and coordinating yourself. You’ll also get 15% off all services.

Best Concierge Services: Personal Stylist

concierge services

A personal stylist is another one of my favorite concierge services. The main job of a personal stylist is to dress your specific body type in flattering clothes that complement your personal style and lifestyle. Their expertise will ensure you don’t waste time trying on clothes that aren’t right for your body type or skin tone.

I’ve been using my personal stylist, Vanessa Valiente, for 15 years. I love that her service is completely in-home — no travel time or dealing with sales associates. I have a credit card that she uses to shop for me. She orders everything for me online and has it sent to my home. I then have my family assistant unbox all items and set them up for the session so that when she arrives, we get right to work.

If you’re not in the mood to buy more clothes, then I still highly recommend hiring a personal stylist to help clean out and organize your wardrobe. They can also help create fresh outfits with the clothes you already own.

Investment Cost: Starting at $75/hr, depending on experience level

Time Reclaimed: ~2 hours per session

Best Concierge Services: Dry Cleaning Delivery

concierge services

A dry cleaning concierge service will pick up your dry cleaning and deliver it back to your doorstep professionally cleaned. No more time wasted driving, looking for parking, and lugging around loads of clothes for the dry cleaner.

One of our favorite dry cleaning concierge services is Rinse. All clothes are photographed for you to track, and each garment is inspected for stains and appropriate care and handling. Everything is returned to your doorstep within 72 hours, crisply pressed and on hangers.

Investment Cost: $15 in delivery fees + price per item, like a typical dry cleaner

Time Reclaimed: 1.5 hours a week

Best Concierge Services: Personal Shopper For Gifts

concierge services

When it comes to finding that perfect gift for a best friend, boss, or parent, a personal shopper concierge service really shines. A good personal shopper will ensure the gift is thoughtful, unique, and memorable, and catered to the recipient.

They usually start by gathering information about the recipient and your relationship to them, their likes, and if you have any general ideas. Then, they handle the rest and come back with a shortlist of options for you to pick from. Often, a gifting concierge will also take care of wrapping and sending the gift to the recipient if needed.

For a more detailed look at what working with a personal shopper is like, check out my full review of Poppy Gifting, my go-to concierge gift service.

Investment Cost: ~$50  to have them source the gifts (or $42.5 through Proxy)

Time Reclaimed: 1.5 hours per gift

Best Concierge Services: Home Organizer

home organizing concierge services

I love an organized home, but the process of decluttering and reorganizing our closets, pantry, and garage is time-consuming and, in my opinion, not that enjoyable. This is a great task to outsource to a home organizing concierge service.

A home organizer will analyze your space and do all the measuring, space planning, decluttering, and donating. And they’ll come up with an organization system that actually works long-term for your needs and how you use the area, so it doesn’t turn into a cluttered mess again a month later.

We recently hired NEAT Method as a home organizing concierge service and are obsessed with the systems they created in our kitchen and how they used the drawers underneath our bathroom sinks. The best part was not having to take the time to research which containers would fit or take a million measurements myself. I also loved how they label EVERYTHING, so it's one less thing someone, like your nanny or errand runner, needs to ask you about if they are helping to put things away.

They met with me for an hour to understand how we use the space and then got to work on the backend with a game plan. The initial consult is free for all Proxy subscribers (typically $150) and takes ~ 1 hour. Proxy subscribers also get 15% off the hourly rate  — that’s about $600+ in savings for a large project, like your kitchen or pantry.

We also have a few other home organizing concierge services, depending on your location, available through Proxy. In order to get Proxy-Approved, they need to actually help you sort through your stuff and get rid of what you don’t need, and not just come in and try to organize one drawer in a pretty way.

Investment Cost: ~$3,150.00 (or $2,550 with Proxy) for a large space

Time Reclaimed: 34 hours

Best Concierge Services: Travel Agent

travel concierge services

If you like to travel, then a travel concierge service is a no-brainer. From the ideation phase, whether it be a family destination or just for couples, to all the details for tours, spa appointments, and car rentals, they’ll save you so much time on the planning. And the best part is you can be as involved in the process as you want to. So if you enjoy planning trips, you can still play an active role while benefiting from their expertise.

A travel concierge has either visited the location themselves, or someone on their staff has, so they have useful tips that you might not know on your own. For example, they can give you the inside scoop on where to eat, or let you know that even though a hotel looks gorgeous on the website, it’s actually near a construction site.

Best Concierge Services: Party Planner

concierge services

A party planner is a great concierge service for busy people who like to entertain. One of my favorite party planner concierge services is Mostest.

Sixty days before your event, this party planning service will take over vendor coordination, timelines, and final details for stress-free hosting. It’s ideal for big birthday or retirement parties, baby showers, or engagement parties — anything that deserves a bit more coordination, thought, and care to be super memorable.

You don’t need more reminders.

You need someone looking out for you.

A party planning concierge will not only create a great theme and vibe, but they will source the best a la carte vendors that they've used (and vouch for) to help with the details, whether it be a catering or bartending service, or a cleanup crew. They will handle all the research and coordination behind the scenes based on your vision. You still get to make all the final decisions, but you aren't bogged down with the minutiae.

They are also bound to wow you with an idea that you haven't thought of because this is what they do for a living — they are the party planning experts!

Investment Cost: Starting at $1,800 for the “Month-of-Coordination” package or $3,000 for the full-service planning option (Proxy subscribers get 20% off all packages — that means $360+ in savings for the coordination package, and $600+ in savings for the full-service option.)

Time Reclaimed: 22 hours for the Month-of-Coordination option

Best Concierge Services: Personal Chef

concierge services

A personal chef is another one of my all-time favorite concierge services. We started with a part-time personal chef, but loved the benefits of having this concierge service so much that we now have our personal chef come three times per week and cover our dinners for five nights a week.

The best part of a personal chef is that they handle everything meal-related, from grocery shopping to weekly meal planning, meal prep, the actual cooking, and leaving the kitchen spotless afterwards. Not to mention, they take on the mental load of feeding a family, so you no longer have to spend time wondering what to make for dinner, or worrying about when you are going to make it to the grocery store.

Need help with meals — but no clue who to trust?

Just ask Proxy. Clear next steps, not more tabs.

Plus, the meals are healthy, nutritious, and keep you from falling into the rut of eating the same thing every week because it’s the easiest thing to whip up when you’re busy. My husband and I also get to have fun “date night” dinners at home, where we’re often comfy in our pjs, without sacrificing the upscale taste.

Want to learn more about hiring a private chef? I break down all the details of what our personal chef’s schedule is like and what you can expect from a part-time chef vs. a full-time chef in my article, Can You Afford A Personal Chef? Here’s How Much A Personal Chef Costs.

Investment Cost:  $2,240**/week ($70/hour, for ~32 hours/week)

Time Reclaimed: ~15 hours*

*This factors in meal planning, sourcing and picking recipes, grocery shopping, cooking, and cleaning up afterward. But beyond time, we’re also getting higher-quality meals (ie: a 3-course nutritious, locally sourced meal vs. soup from a can and grilled cheese).

Best Concierge Services: Returns

concierge services

Anyone who likes to shop online knows how frustrating dealing with returns can be. Every store has different policies, and some packages have to be dropped off at UPS, while others go to USPS or one of those in-store “Happy Returns” drop-offs.

A returns home concierge service will handle all the logistics of returning online purchases for you, including dealing with the packaging, labeling, and dropping off the package. You simply leave your return item(s) in a bag on your front steps, and that’s it! They handle the rest.

Investment Cost: $199/year, which includes 4 pickups a month (or $149/yr with Proxy)

Time Reclaimed: 33.6 hours/year

You don’t have too much to do. You have too much to decide.

Best Concierge Services: MedSpa

medspa concierge services

Medical spa concierge services mean you can get treatments like botox in the comfort of your own home. A board-certified provider will come to your house to administer the treatment. No more rushing around town for 30 minutes to then sit in a waiting room for 10 minutes, to then finally complete a 10-minute appointment. They can also handle treatments like fillers, micro needling, and chemical peels — any typical medspa service.

Beyond medspa concierge services, pretty much every wellness service you can think of can be done in the comfort of your own home, whether that’s acupuncture, massages, facials, or waxing. It’s really nice to be able to do these types of services at home instead of at a public practice. Plus, nothing truly matches the bliss of getting off a massage table and already being at home. No need to shift your brain from zen to the alertness required for driving — you can simply retain all the luscious relaxation you paid good money to achieve.

Investment Cost: Starting at $400 for 25 units of botox (or $300 for Proxy subscribers)

Best Concierge Services: Pet Care

pet concierge services

Between daily walks and exercise, vet appointments, and grooming, taking care of your pet can take up a lot of time. Not to mention trying to find a reliable person to watch your dog or cat when you go out of town. Pet concierge services can help with a lot of it.

Some pet concierge services offer pick-up and drop-off options where they bring your pet to the vet or groomers and back, while others come to your house and do everything there instead.

For routine pet preventative care, we’ve vetted and recommend The Vets. They’re a veterinarian concierge service that can come to your house to perform your pet’s yearly blood work, exam, and vaccines. They can also do in-home nail trimming, ear cleaning, or microchipping.

Investment Cost: $199 travel fee (Proxy subscribers pay $99)

Time Reclaimed: 1.5 hours per vet visit
